Big Box Catering Plus Hidden Waters Wedding Venue Made for a Magical Catering Event
Catering a wedding is serious business, everything has to be on time and perfect. So when we were approached to cater a wedding for 180 people in Waxahachie we were thrilled at the idea, but 50 minutes from our kitchen in Dallas presented a few challenges. Thankfully we were in great hands with the staff and facilities at Hidden Waters.
A beautiful venue, that must be seen.
The first thing that gets you is the property itself. A expansive estate with rolling hills and a foot bridge gave it an old world charm that’s rare these days.
The 5,500 squre feet Ball Room was stunning with service for up to 300 guests, all the tables were beautifully adorned with linen, center pieces, and chargers. Outside seating for 200 was set with an alter for the bride and groom to say I do. We proceeded to the kitchen which was spotless and spacious with everything we’d need to make it happen. The bar was smartly attached to the kitchen with everything you’d need to loosen up the crowd.
We were able to prep our appetizers with ease given the space we had, when it was time for entrees we were ready to go, thankfully the great staff had already setup our buffet table for our chaffing dishes.
The staff was beyond accommodating and friendly and was always asking if they could helps us, Once dinner was done we started our break down, which gave us an opportunity to witness how happy and excited our guest were, the room was electric. It was clear to me at that moment that this is the standard reaction at a Hidden Waters Event, from the lush grounds to the beautiful ballroom, this place is truly magical and we here at Big Box Catering hope that our paths will cross with the lovely people at Hidden Waters sometime soon.
